Happy Friday! We've had a pretty week up on this mountain with lots of June sunshine and very little rain. Temperatures are moderate--the high may have hit 70, 72 maybe? With the heat we are used to from our South Carolina summers it is a mighty welcome respite. (I swear people are in a better mood when it's just not SO HOT.) I've been writing, editing, sketching for a painting of my grandmother for my studio's feng shui-ed roots, growth, where you come from bagua. (It will be five feet tall, how fun is that?) I've been thinking a lot about time and its passing; I've been thinking a lot about time and how to spend it well. Here's wishing you a weekend filled with all the people and things and experiences you love most. XXOO, Cathy

SUMMER LOVE
Posey's Cottage Cheese Mixture
My Mom's recipe. It really is that good. It really needs a better name. Maybe Posey's Tastes Like Summer Salad? Hum. Suggestions welcome.
PODCAST LOVE
I've also been doing a lot of thinking about the Enneagram of late, how popular this ancient system is, how significant it can be to our world today. My favorite guru, Suzanne Stabile, speaks of the Enneagram like this: A tool to better understand yourself and those who share their lives with you. Growing in awareness as to why we struggle and discovering ways as to how we can promote our gifts, we can improve our relationships and promote community, patience, and tolerance. I love her podcast, The Enneagram Journey, and this Q&A episode is a great listen whether you are new to the Enneagram or a seasoned studier of the system.

BOOK LOVE
I read Circe in the Spring and could not put it down. A timeless tale about the daughter of Helio, Greek God of the Sun, Circe is one of the most fascinating characters in one of the best books I've ever read. Two tips, though. (1) Keep your own list of characters as there are many, and while there is an index in the back, I felt it gave too much away to refer to it when reading. And (2), I preferred this in book form. I did listen to the audiobook, as well, and it is very well done. But for me, the story is complicated and I needed pages to turn back to. AND DON'T LET THAT SCARE YOU. This book is so worth it. A fantastic read!

Awake my dear.

Be kind to your sleeping heart.

Take it out to the vast fields of light

and let it

breathe.
