YOU MIGHT AS WELL CALL IT HALLOWEEN. This is how I feel once we're past July 4 and the MAD RUSH is on, to fall. In fact I was in a superstore the other day and the entire front was merchandised with witches and pumpkins and on toward the side was an entire new section OF CHRISTMAS. It is too much. TOO MUCH. Let's slow down, let's have summer. Let's have THE ULTIMATE SUMMER PLAYLIST! (link below) Let's roll down the windows, turn up the volume and have a glorious July weekend! XXOO, Cathy
The Ultimate Summer Playlist
I asked, you answered, and here it is! Somewhere around 80 of the most perfect songs for summer, curated by you on my Spotify page. Tune in! Turn up! (And shoot an email to me at if your fave is missing. I will joyfully add!)

Edamame Quinoa Salad, from The Girl Who Ate Everything
I make this recipe A LOT. This recipe makes A LOT. Feed a crowd! (Keeps well, too.)
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, season 10, episode 11, Jerry Seinfeld and Alec Baldwin. Oh my goodness.
My short story, Edna Allen's Descent, has been published in the summer issue of Still: The Journal, an online literary journal that focuses on writing created by and/or devoted to the Appalachian South. I AM QUITE GIDDY. Check it out by clicking here, then click again on the fiction link.

Enjoyed The Gown, by Jennifer Robson, a novel of the story of Queen Elizabeth's wedding gown and the women who made it. (I would love to have been an embroiderer on those fabulous dresses. Seriously.)

From 2017: The Good, Good, Good Fight Oh, my sweet Daddy.

Ultimately, we are all just walking each other home.
