Day 20: Take heart.

Jan 10, 2021 | 30 Days of Joy | 2 comments

IT IS THE PERFECT WAY to wrap up these Thirty Days of Joy, doing it with Day Twenty because, well, 2020, and also because my friend Melissa at art4money* posted something that is the absolute, best, most perfect way to dive into the hope that is 2021.

I realized when I saw it that it’s the thought I lost amid the chaos, the terror, the confusion of the year just past. Of the first days of this new year, truth be told.

It’s the thought I want back, which, by golly, I’m claiming right here and now.

Thank you, Melissa, for the soul-saving reminder. Thank you, Daily Grace friends, for going on this joy journey with me.

Now let’s go after 2021 with the windows rolled down and wind in our face!

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. RWE

Ralph really had it going on.

Thank you for your kind words, sweet friend. Creating art has gotten me through the past year and helped me stay positive (mostly!). Every day IS the best day!?

Hi. I’m Cathy.

This is a blog about writing, creative living, and grace in the everyday. It’s my hope this little spot on the internet will be for you a place of quiet and reflection, a source for inspiration, and a reminder there’s beauty all around—we simply need to keep our hearts open to see it. Thank you for being here with me.
