Had a blast last night at Neighborhood Night Out for 2 hours at a corner Baptist church I can walk to. Different police, fire, emt and animal control officers with police chaplains stopped by to talk to neighbors. I met people and commended our animal control. Told them I share their fb posts and they truly love their animals. They are small staffed but try their hardest. And it was fun meeting them and neighbors.

Cathy…I was thinking of your 30 days of fun yesterday when I spied this beautiful orange and pink zinnia by our pool. It has orange petals that turn hot pink before they end in the yellow center. As I leisurely swam my laps I reminded myself of some of your blogs and to start looking for things that make me smile. Low and behold, a spirited hummingbird stopped by the same flower! I left the pool light-hearted and grinning. (I wish I could post a pic in here…)
    Thank you!

Hi. I’m Cathy.

This is a blog about writing, creative living, and grace in the everyday. It’s my hope this little spot on the internet will be for you a place of quiet and reflection, a source for inspiration, and a reminder there’s beauty all around—we simply need to keep our hearts open to see it. Thank you for being here with me.
