The Daily Grace
The Daily Grace

Any minute of any day I can glance out the big window just above my kitchen sink and there’s no telling what I might see going on, out there on Bickley’s Pond.

Just the other day I caught sight of a pretty little bird peck peck pecking away at the ground, several feet from the feeder. I grabbed the camera for a shot and was thrilled to find we’d been visited by a Northern Flicker.

Not so rare, as it turns out. But so, so pretty.

How great it is, I thought, to find sweet surprises like this, just outside the kitchen window.

My kind of flicker. Much better than the digital kind! Same goes for tweets! 🙂
